Jalang'o confirmed travel dates and announced he will accompany Kevin Masagara on a Manchester United trip to Old Trafford.

Lang'ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor, widely known as Jalang'o, has shed more light on sponsoring prominent Kenyan Manchester United supporter Kevin Masagara for a trip to watch the team play live at Old Trafford in England, as he revealed the exact match.

In a video posted on his Instagram account on Saturday, February 21, the legislator explained that he will accompany the Manchester United fan, noting that he will ensure Masagara gets to enjoy his experience to the fullest.

Jalang'o then went ahead and asked him the match he would love to watch, with Masagara saying that it would certainly be the Manchester United vs Liverpool match scheduled for May 2.

Jalang'o Sheds More Light on Masagara's Trip to Old Trafford

Upon their first meeting, Jalang’o shared a post on his social media handles, praising Masagara for his dedicated support of Manchester United.

“This is the first time I'm meeting Masagara. Great guy, done his part, supported the greatest team in the world. And that is Manchester United. And we are starting this journey to have Masagara go to Old Trafford,” he said.

Masagara expressed his delight at meeting Jalang’o, emphasising that Manchester United is the biggest team in the world.

“I feel good. I'm happy to see you. For the first time, I've met you. I've even held your hand. I can hear you laughing. And the best thing is that we're a big team. The biggest team in the entire universe,” he said.

“I want to tell the audience that we're the first English team to ever win the Champions League. When we talk like that, people don't know. They don't know. But we love our team. And I've heard it well today. I'm happy to see you.”

Jalang’o explained that they will begin their tour with a flight to London before proceeding to Manchester. He noted that after arriving in the capital, they intend to connect to Manchester by rail, a journey he said takes roughly two and a half hours.

He added that he would prefer they travel a few days before their main engagement so they can fully enjoy the experience without rushing.

According to Jalang’o, the early arrival would allow them time to explore key attractions, including a visit to the club’s museum to see its historic silverware up close, before finally making their way to Old Trafford for the main highlight of the trip.

“So, what we are planning is to fly to London. We fly to London, then we go to Piccadilly, Manchester. So, you land in London, then we'll take a train,” he said.

“The train is two hours and thirty minutes. But I want us to get in two days earlier. Two days earlier, or three. We'll go to the museum, we'll grab the trophies, and we'll go to Old Trafford. “

The MP had earlier announced an initiative titled "Masagara to Manchester, Old Trafford, Here We Come," which will chronicle and facilitate the fans' journey from Kenya to the UK.
