Cristiano Ronaldo has been advised to make a similar investment to Hollywood superstars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been advised on which club to buy following a successful venture by Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds.

The Al-Nassr striker has reportedly been in the market looking to own a football club.

The former Real Madrid man has now been advised to invest in English lower-division side Cheltenham, potentially making a smiliar trajectory to the likes of Hollywood superstars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who have been calling the shots at Wrexham.

Football finance expert Rob Wilson, who has previously advised billionaire Elon Musk to make a similar purchase, has offered the same advice to Ronaldo.

"Cheltenham Town is a massively undervalued asset with great financial fundamentals. So if an investor wants to look at a football club, they would do no worse than have a look at Cheltenham Town Football Club because it is really positioned nicely," said Wilson, as quoted by Goal.com.

"I'd be amazed if Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't invest in an English football team. I would imagine he'll be trying to sniff around getting into a club like Manchester United as a strategic investment or as a minority owner somehow."

Ronaldo’s options are plenty, but Wrexham's success story makes for a compelling case to invest in the lower English divisions.

Wrexham has enjoyed success under the ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

The duo have been at the helm since 2021, helping steer the club to back-to-back promotions.

Just over four years after Reynolds and McElhenney completed their takeover of the club, Wrexham have their sights set on the Premier League.

The club sealed automatic promotion to the Sky Bet Championship on April 26, with a 3-0 win over Charlton.

Cheltenham, who currently place 15th in League Two, find themselves in a similar position to where Wrexham was years ago, and a similar investment from a moneybag like Ronaldo could spur a similar trajectory like Wrexham.
