Trouble is brewing in LaLiga as Cadiz owner Manuel Vizcaino has stated his desire to see the Madrid club relegated after claiming they tried to tap up his players
Cadiz CEO Manuel Vizcaino has called for another LaLiga team, Getafe, to be relegated after manoeuvers that he branded cheating left him with a sour taste.
Cadiz chief criticises Getafe's methods
The aimosity arises from Cadiz facing the prospect of losing two key players after Getafe tapped them up during the LaLiga campaign, without meeting the club first.

Vizcaino was upset at the way in which Getafe went about their approaches for the players and made his feeligs known in the an interview with Cadena Cope, labelling the Madrid club cheats and manipulators.
He said, “What is clear is that, for me, teams like Getafe and presidents like the president of Getafe are a very bad example of football that has already disappeared, cheating football, manipulation, and an attempt to attack a direct rival in an absolutely coarse fashion.
The Cadiz boss also noted that he had already reported Getafe to LaLIga for allegedly tapping up his players during the season, explaining the detail of Getafe’s gamesmanship.
Vizcaino would see Getafe relegated if he had the chance
“I said it and I’ll say it again. And it has been denounced both to La Liga and to the Federation, because this has been happening for some time,” Vizcaino said.
He continued, “The Choco thing, better not to talk about it, because it is uncouth. Pacha told me a month ago that every day they called him to sit down with them, in the middle of the competition. They are methods that have been denounced, and I tell LaLiga, Javier Tebas, that this football no longer exists, that it is the football of cheats.”
Vizcaino also claimed that if he were in charge of the decision to punish Getafe, he would puish them by making them play in the lower divisions.
“We have gotten rid of almost all of the cheaters, and what we have to do is punish this type of behaviour. If it were up to me, Getafe would be relegated for this behaviour.”
Getafe were already close to being relegated from LaLiga after survivig with the skin of their teeth in the 2022/23 season, making Vizcaino’s suggestion an unwelcome development for them.
