Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has sent a stern warning to David Raya who is set to join the club from London rivals Brentford after a bid in the region of 30 million pounds was accepted for the Spaniard.
Raya was spotted in the stands at Wembley during Arsenal’s win over Manchester City in the Community Shield final.
The English goalkeeper, who ousted former German custodian Bernd Leno after signing from Bournemouth in 2021, has warned Raya to “bring it on” in the fight for the number one sport at Arsenal.

Arsenal’s opening bid for Raya is slightly below what Brentford are seeking but negotiations continue over a deal, which both parties are looking to complete.
"Bring it on. Nothing comes easy in football. But also at the same time you need to move along and adapt as well. I’ve done it to other people when I’ve moved to clubs," he told ITV Sport when asked about Raya's potential arrival.
"I’m not going to be thinking that it’s never going to happen to me. So, yeah, I think if it happens, it happens and then we’ll fight and we’ll make each other the best version of ourselves because that’s what the manager is telling us as well.
"I’m sure whoever plays, me, Matt [Turner], whoever comes in, the goalkeeping union, people will laugh at but it’s a real thing, and your individual disappointment will go away and you’ll put the team first and you’ll put that goalkeeper first as well."
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of goalkeeper Matt Turner from Arsenal.
The 29-year-old USMNT international has signed a four-year contract and could make his debut against his former club on Saturday, just six days after lifting the Community Shield with his former employers.

Turner has 32 international caps and moved to North London last summer, from the MLS, where he had made 111 appearances for New England Revolution.
He made seven appearances for Arsenal last season, as understudy to Aaron Ramsdale and will be keen to prove himself in the Premier League with Forest.
“When I heard there was interest to bring me here, it just felt right for my family, it felt right when my agent spoke to me about it and it feels like the right move for me now,” said Turner.
“The manager and the backroom staff, everything about the club has a little sparkle to it. I am looking forward to making a connection with my teammates, the fans and the city.”
