United will be looking to recoup some of the £86million that they paid to sign Antony from Ajax in 2022 and are demanding between £34m and  £42m (between €40m and €50m) for Antony.

Betis face Atletico Madrid away in LaLiga on May 18, which may give Antony a further chance to impress Simeone. The winger endured much misfortune at United as he struggled for consistency.

Antony's performances on loan at Betis have certainly provided a reminder of the ability that he possesses. On Thursday night he scored a superb winner as Betis won 2-1 at home to Fiorentina in the first leg of their Europa Conference League semi-final.

If Betis were to triumph in that competition then it would be a superb way for Antony to conclude what has been an excellent loan spell.
