Injured AFC Leopards midfielder's triumphant return to training sparks hope of a season turnaround for the club's eager fans.

AFC Leopards attacking midfielder Saad Musa is poised to make a triumphant return to the pitch after a lengthy injury-enforced absence.

Saad, a key figure for Ingwe, has been on the sidelines since sustaining an injury during the second half of the FKF Premier League last season.

However, the South Sudan international playmaker is now back in training with his teammates, signaling a promising comeback.

On Tuesday, Saad made his long-awaited return to the training ground, much to the delight of the AFC Leopards faithful.

During the session, Saad showcased his skills, albeit cautiously, as he mockingly gave the ball a slight touch for his first touch.

His return to training comes just in time for AFC Leopards' upcoming league clash against Murang’a Seal, scheduled to be played at the SportPesa Arena on Wednesday.

The club took to their social media platforms to share the exciting news, with a post that simply read, "Saad Musa.. He is back...."

Saad's journey to recovery included a significant medical milestone.

On October 23, 2023, he underwent a bankart surgery on his right shoulder.

Despite Musa's promising return to training, Leopards will still have to contend with the absence of Lewis Bandi and Abubakar Musha, both of whom remain sidelined due to injuries.

Saad's affiliation with AFC Leopards dates back to July 2022 when he signed a new one-year deal with the club.

Musa's football journey has been one of steady progress and undeniable talent.

He first made waves with Nairobi City Stars, where he showcased his skills in 24 appearances.

Subsequently, he made a pivotal move to Thika United, where he further honed his skills and gained valuable experience, amassing an impressive 63 appearances during his tenure.

His performances caught the eye of AFC Leopards, who secured his services in June 2018.

At just 20-years-old, Musa signed a four-year contract with the club, reflecting the high expectations surrounding his future contributions to the team's success.
