Mutoka, who serves as current AFC Leopards commercial director, is running for the office of chairmanship against former Harambee Stars forward Bonface Ambani.

AFC Leopards chairman aspirant Enos Vincent Mutoka has unveiled an ambitious blueprint to restore the club's lost glory, promising a stronger financial foundation, quality player recruitment, and long-term infrastructure development should he be elected.

Speaking ahead of the club’s highly anticipated elections on Citizen TV, Mutoka, who has been serving as the club’s Commercial Director, cited his extensive experience and passion for the game as key drivers behind his decision to vie for the top seat.

“This is not a salaried position—it's a chance to give back to the community,” Mutoka said.

“My desire is to return AFC Leopards to winning ways, something I believe is possible with proper financial planning and transparent leadership.”

Mutoka, a Bukura native and University of Nairobi journalism graduate, has already made a notable impact during his time at the club. He is credited with securing the KSh 180 million, three-year sponsorship deal with Betika, which revived the club's financial status after a period of significant struggle.

“When I came in, the club had no sponsor and was barely surviving. As Commercial Director, I was given a performance-based contract with no salary, just a 10% commission on what I raised.

“I'm proud to say I’ve helped the club raise over KSh 200 million through sponsorships and fundraisers.”

If elected chairman, Mutoka says he will focus on long-term stability and growth, starting with infrastructure. He outlined a two-year plan that includes:

Acquisition of club-owned land, development of a permanent training ground, gradual construction of a stadium to serve as the club’s official home and the expansion of revenue streams through merchandise and additional sponsorships

“We are spending a lot of money daily renting training grounds. In two years, we must have our own facility and begin building a home for Ingwe. It’s time we start thinking like a club that wants to compete regionally.”

Mutoka also expressed concern over past transfer policies that saw AFC Leopards settle for lower-tier signings due to budget constraints.

“The club has repeatedly missed out on coaches’ first-choice signings because we couldn’t afford them.

“ We end up with fourth-choice players, and that affects our competitiveness. Financial sustainability is the only way we can attract the caliber of players the club deserves.”

Mutoka believes his track record makes him the right man for the job.

“I have been tried and tested. I know what works and where the gaps are. This club needs more than promises—it needs a doer. And I’m ready.”

With AFC Leopards looking to bounce back both on and off the pitch, Mutoka’s candidacy may present the stability and ambition fans have long called for.
