Bayer Leverkusen preserved their remarkable unbeaten run after another late heroics by Nathan Tella and Patrik Schick.

Nigeria’s Nathan Tella played a telling role as Bayer Leverkusen continued their impressive start to the Bundesliga season, coming from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Hoffenheim at the BayArena.

Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that the visitors had taken the lead in the 33rd minute through Maximilian Beier, and Leverkusen looked set to suffer their first defeat of the campaign.

Tella and Leverkusen shine again

With Bayer trailing, the introduction of Nigeria international Tella off the bench for Jeremie Frimpong proved to be the game-changing moment as Robert Andrich equalised two minutes later for the home side.

Tella's impact followed as he then set up Patrik Schick to score the winning goal in added time, securing all three points for Bayer Leverkusen.
