The financially struggling side has bolstered the squad with two more players.

Premier League side Talanta have signed Kenya defender Samuel Olwande, Pulse Sports understand.

The fullback - who has also played for Kariobangi Sharks before - has completed the transfer from Sofapaka to Talanta. The club has also acquired the services of Lucas Waitere from Vihiga Bullets and Augustin Kuta from Mathare United.

Kuta is among the six players who were released by the 2008 Premier League champions.

Experienced winger Kevin Kimani has been linked with a return to Mathare.

Coach Sam Kioko, who has been in charge of the Slum Boys on an interim basis, is open to taking up the role on a permanent basis.

Under his watch, the club has picked up two vital wins against local giants Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards, while his next game in charge will be against Mathare.

Additionally, the Slum Boys are expected to complete the signing of goalkeeper Zamu Adisa.

Kakamega Homeboyz are edging closer to signing former Yanga SC and Posta Rangers goalkeeper Farouk Shikalo.

Shikalo, who has also featured in the Tanzania Mainland Premier League with Kinondoni Municipal Council (KMC FC), had been linked with Police FC. The Cops later opted to sign Patrick Matasi from Tusker.

Meanwhile, Christopher Masinza has opted for a return to Kakamega Homeboyz. After leaving the Kakamega outfit, former Sofapaka midfielder Ellie Asieche has attracted interest from two top-tier clubs.

Shassir Nahimana, from Burundi, has completed his awaited move to Bandari, while Erick Kipkirui has moved to Posta Rangers from Kenya Police.

Finally, Eastlands side Kariobangi Sharks will not bolster their squad in the ongoing mini-transfer window as coach William Muluya is keen on elevating junior players from their academy.
