Various teams are expected to bolster their units as the season enters business stretch.

Financially endowed premier league side Police FC are closing in on the signature of former Bandari and Yanga SC goalkeeper Farouk Shikalo.

Kakamega Homeboyz were also interested in signing the Harambee Stars goalkeeper, but Police are ahead in the race to secure the custodian's services.

The Cops are also understood to be eyeing former Tusker player Apollo Otieno, who had been spotted training with KCB.

Elsewhere, Kakamega Homeboyz have roped in goalkeeper James Cleo Ssetuba from Uganda. Ssetuba was a free agent after he left Tanzanian Premier League side Ihefu FC. He has previously played for URA FC, Bright Stars, and Wakiso Giants.

The Kakamega-based outfit made room for new arrivals by clearing out Simon Abuko, Eugene Wethuli, Meshack Muyonga, Chris Masinza, and Eli Asieche.

In a bid to strengthen their squad, Mombasa-based Bandari have completed the signing of three experienced players.

Former Wazito FC forward Joe Waithira, former Sony Sugar’s Amos Asembeka, as well as Johanna Mwita, have signed for the Dockers.

Sofapaka have completed the signing of Evans Maliachi from APS Bomet. Former Gor Mahia defender Joachim Oluoch, ex-Kariobangi Sharks’ Ebrimah Sanneh, and former AFC Leopards midfielder Tera Misiko have attracted Batoto ba Mungu’s transfer interest.

Meanwhile, Harambee Stars defender Samuel Olwande, and Nixon Omondi, together with Geoffrey Ojunga and Ambrose Sifuna, have left the 2009 Premier League champions.
