Tia Clayton and her twin sister Tina obliterated the 100m field that included the legendary Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce at the Doha Diamond League classic on Friday.
Tia Clayton believes she still has more to give alongside her twin sister Tina after the duo stormed to a one-two finish in the 100-meter dash at the Doha Diamond League in Qatar on Friday night.
In what was Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce’s return to the Diamond League since 2022 — and her first appearance in Doha since 2021 — the Jamaican veteran failed to get off the blocks with her usual explosiveness and ultimately finished fourth.
Tia Clayton took full advantage, clinching victory in a world-leading time of 10.92 seconds, followed closely by her sister Tina, while Great Britain's Amy Hunt completed the podium with a personal best of 11.03 seconds.

Kaizer Chiefs In For Benni McCarthy-Coached Harambee Stars Striker
Kaizer Chiefs are firming up their interest in Harambee Stars striker who Benni McCarthy likes.
“Honestly, I didn’t have a time in mind. I just came out here to execute the race properly,” she said.
“I didn’t do that because I didn’t get the start I always get, but otherwise from that, it was a great race.”
The win was made even more meaningful given who she was up against — although Tia said it wasn't her first time facing Fraser-Pryce.
“I’ve run with her already, so this is actually not my first time running with her.”
Sharing the top two podium spots with her twin sister added a special layer to the night for Tia, who reminisced about their earlier days as teenage phenoms.
“It’s very special to me to know that me and my sister can come out here — back like what we used to do in high school — and to execute, and to just come out here to show the world what we are really made of.”
Tina Grateful Despite Minor Execution Errors
)
While Tina admitted she didn’t feel she executed her race to perfection, she still took pride in the result and saw it as a promising sign early in the season.
“I think I executed the race a bit poorly, but I can't complain,” she told Diamond League media. “I have to be grateful for this result because it is still the beginning of the season and it is a SB for me. This year has been going well. To be second just behind my sister Tia is a great feeling.”
She also gave insight into the unique dynamic she shares with Tia both on and off the track.

Benni McCarthy: Harambee Stars Coach Reveals Why Jadon Sancho Refused to Apologize to Erik Ten Hag
Benni McCarthy spills the beans on the events that made Jadon Sancho and Erik Ten Hag not to see eye to eye at Old Trafford.
“We are twin sisters, we are training partners, and we also compete together. When we line up for a race, we are no longer sisters — we are rival competitors. But after the race is over, it feels really good to make the top two places.”
Tina now heads back to Jamaica to continue her preparations, with a clear goal in sight.
“My next meeting will be in Jamaica, so now I will be back there to regroup and focus on my next steps.
"My big goal for 2025 will be to make the Jamaican team for the World Championships along with my sister.”
