The men's 400m hurdles witnessed scares from world record holder Karsten Warholm and Alison Dos Santos, who failed to win their heats and they were looking to redeem themselves in the semifinal at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
Kenya's Wiseman Were, also in the mix after sneaking into the semifinal among the fastest non-automatic qualifiers and was, without a doubt, eyeing stunning performance in the semis with eyes set on the final.
At the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, Wiseman Were failed to make the final, and after gaining enough experience, he wanted to prove a point.

Wiseman Were was disappointed yet again, finishing a distant sixth in 48.65 seconds. American Caleb Dean finished third in 47.85, being forced to wait and see if he could make the final as a non-automatic qualifier.
