Noah Lyles explains what he thinks about Twanisha Terry after the relays queen overpowered rivals at World Relays.

Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles had kind words for compatriot Twanisha Terry  for her impressive performance at the 2025 World Athletics Relays in China.

Terry made light work of her opponents, guiding the United States' team to win it's opening round of the women's 4x100m relays and made qualifying to the next round easier.

Terry, 26, who became the joint fourth-fastest under-20 woman in history in 100m after clocking 10.99 seconds at the Mt. SAC Relays in 2018, clocked a run of 42.86 seconds along with her teammates ahead of Canada  and Netherlands 43.11 sec and 43.13 sec respectively.

In a team of Mikiah Brisco, Caisja Chandler, and Kayla White, Terry ran the anchor leg of the race and showed the intestinal fortitude to bag victory for her team.

"One thing about it, I'll always remain composed," she told SportsKeeda.

This prompted a reaction from Noah Lyles who has been part of many relay-winning quartets. The six-time World champion was impressed with Terry's composure and calmness as the former world under-20 silver medallist brought her A game when it mattered most.

"Your composure on that hand off was other worldly," Lyles, who bagged a bronze medal in 200m at the Paris Olympics after reportedly contracting COVID-19, said.

Twanisha Terry has had a successful record for the United States in the 4X100m relay events across her career.

She has been a class act and has managed podium winning races at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and at the 2022 and 2023 World Championships.

In 2025, Terry has been crucial to the USA relay team, helping them to the podium finish at the Tom Jones Memorial relays event.
