Kishane Thompson has insisted that his setbacks at the World Championships will not derail his pursuit of a higher calling in the sport.
Despite a frustrating World Athletics Championships campaign that saw him claim silver in the men’s 100m final and miss the 4x100m relay after a baton mishap, Kishane Thompson has remained composed and resilient.
The Olympic 100m silver medallist was a favourite to impress in the men’s 100m and hopefully walk away with the gold medal.
However, his compatriot Oblique Seville had better legs, and he took the win in a personal best time of 9.77 seconds.

“To always hold my composure and just to believe in myself, you know, and to just know that I have a higher calling in this sport and I found my place and I'm going to cement my legacy like no other,” Kishane Thompson said on the Inside Lane.
