In a recent episode of Beyond The Record podcast, Lyles spoke about the whirlwind of events leading to their engagement and their plans for the future.
"I'm engaged you know. We just bought a new house. I know, it's grown man stuff," he said with a mix of humor and reflection.
"Sometimes, I think, 'Am I really doing this? Am I really up next?' When my boy Jaylen got married, the first question after the wedding was, 'Who's up next?' and I low-key felt in my heart, 'I'm up next.'"
For Lyles, the decision to propose to Bromfield was something he had been certain of for a long time.
"When we started dating, I kind of already knew," he admitted. While he kept the details of their love story under wraps, he hinted at its complexity and serendipity.
"If you ever heard our love story, which I’m not going to tell because it’s extremely long, it would literally take 30 minutes to tell. It’s definitely a Hallmark movie for sure. It didn’t feel like it in the moment, though," he added with a laugh.
