Joseph Yobo has expressed skepticism about the Super Eagles' chances after the 1-0 victory against Guinea-Bissau at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The decisive moment came through Opa Sangante's own goal in the 37th minute.
Jose Peseiro's men qualified for the last 16 as runners-up from Group A, without ever being convincing enough in any of the three group games.
Joseph Yobo believes Iwobi is key to Nigeria's chances
Yobo, speaking on AfroSport, said:
“It was not a convincing victory even though we got the deserved result we needed.
"The team still needs more cohesion because, from the midfield, we are yet to get it right.
“However, we have more attacking players than midfield players. But then, when Iwobi picks, I am sure the team will create more goal-scoring chances.
“I think keeping a clean sheet is another positive result from today’s game and it shows the defence is doing something good.”
