'We're back' - Shericka Jackson excited about return to best form since 2023
Jamaican sprint queen Shericka Jackson is excited about her return to best form since 2023 following her impressive win at the Silesia Diamond League.
The reigning world 200m champion blazed to an impressive Season's Best (SB) of 22.17s for a brilliant win as she fought off the stiff challenge of Brittany Brown, who ran 22.21s, while Favour Ofili was third in 22.25s. British rising sensation Amy Hunt settled for fourth in 22.31s.

Jackson's performance was a significant improvement from her last 200m race before Silesia, which was at the Racers Grand Prix in June, where she clocked 22.53 seconds.
It also proved she's bouncing back to form nicely, having had an injury-plagued 2024 season that saw her withdraw from the Paris Olympic Games.
After her victory, Jackson provided an overview of her recovery following a challenging year in 2024.
"We're back. I am in a competitive training group now. The other girls are strong, and I enjoy that. I like to compete against strong opposition," she said.
"I have not run a curve this hard since 2023. Last year was a disappointment, but now mentally I am here, and I am strong. I want to thank everyone who helped me achieve it."
Jackson is scheduled to compete next at the Lausanne Diamond League on August 20. A consecutive win for her will confirm her readiness for the rest of the season and prove she's back in the conversation as a top challenger for a medal at the World Championships in Tokyo next month.
