'We will make Chelsea great' — Chelsea new signing reveals conversations with Cole Palmer

Chelsea's new signing Estavao William revealed that he had a conversation with Cole Palmer, where they discussed taking the Blues to great heights. 

The West London club beat the rest of Europe's to the 17-year-old's signing; however, he will remain with Palmeiras until next summer, after he has turned 18. 

The teenager has established himself as a starter for Palmeiras. This season, he has scored nine goals and provided seven assists, earning himself a Brazil call-up. 

After signing for Chelsea, Estevao dedicated his next goal to his future teammate, Palmer. 

In a recent interview with the Guardian, the winger shared his correspondence with Palmer after the goal celebration happened, in which they shared their desire to take Chelsea to great heights. 

“When I signed for Chelsea, the next day I scored a goal and celebrated like Palmer... I tagged him on Instagram, he called me a star, I said he’s a star too,” He told the publication. “He said we’re going to do a lot of great things together for Chelsea.”

While Chelsea await Estevao’s arrival, Cole Palmer continues to carry their ambitions. The England international was voted the Premier League Player of the Month for September 2024 after beating competition from several top names.
