The 26-year-old has completed a two-month suspension for betting-related offences after being found guilty.
Speaking to Messaggero Veneto, Nani expressed his satisfaction with the player's return to the fold. "We welcome Maduka back," he stated, as reported by Tuttoudinese.
However, the technical director was quick to clarify that an immediate return to the starting lineup is not guaranteed. He emphasised that the final decision rests with the head coach.
"The choices are up to the coach, who has maximum freedom," Nani added, indicating that Okoye will need to earn his spot back in the team.
Okoye is expected to be in the squad for Udinese's upcoming Serie A match against Cremonese on Monday, October 20.
The Nigerian international will be focused on regaining his form and re-establishing himself as a key player for the Bianconeri.
