With the beef set to escalate as the two vie for gold at the 2025 World Championships, Jamaicans seem to have picked a side and there is no guessing where they have settled.

Jamaicans have a long-standing disdain for Lyles following his victories over their athletes at major championships while the relationship was strained further before and during the 2024 Paris Olympics when he claimed that his Jamaican fiancée Junelle Bromfield had given him all the secrets about Team Jamaica before the 100m final, which be beat Kishane Thompson for gold.

Jamaicans have therefore flooded the comment section of Bednarek’s social media to support him and the American sprinter endeared himself to them further when he used Masicka’s hit song Mute to celebrate his World Championships qualification.

“Since we as Jamaicans don’t like Noah, we approve the song choice and we’re backing you at the World Championship in the 200m,” said a fan.

“Kenny badness! Go to Jamaica, go eat some yellow yam and few steam snapper, and you will beat Noah,” responded a fan while another user weighed in, saying: “Rep, rep, rep. We rooting for you.”

“Noah owes you an apology. That was unsportsmanlike behavior from him. You are the true winner, and you were cheated.”

“Kenny is the People's champion protecting us from Jussie Noah's courtroom drama!!! Kenny is gonna get him at worlds,” predicted another fan.

Lyles will be looking to silence his critics, however, as he has dominated at the last two championships, winning gold in both 100m and 200m and the 2023 World Championships and the Olympics 100m title in Paris last year.
