WATCH: Sha'Carri Richardson consoles boyfriend Christian Coleman after losing 200m race at Grand Slam Track in Philadelphia
Despite not running, sprint queen Sha'Carri Richardson was at the Grand Slam Track in Philadelphia to cheer on her boyfriend Christian Coleman and later became his pillar of support after he lost his 200m race.
Coleman, who has had a torrid start to the season and was making his Grand Slam Track debut, started the race brightly blazing through the curve and into the home stretch in second, until he succumbed in the last 50m as he finished sixth in 20.68s in the men's 200m Short Sprints.
Training partner Kenny Bednarek continued his bright start and unbeaten streak by winning the race in a facility record of 19.95s (0.0), miles ahead of the field, with Zharnel Hughes in second in 20.50s and Aaron Brown, third with the same time.
