Victor Osimhen attends Redeem Crossover service for 2024: To join Super Eagles AFCON camp this week
Victor Osimhen, the current African Footballer of the Year, was seen on New Year's Eve in a Lagos church during a crossover service.
To the excitement and applause of the audience, the forward, who has been freed by his Italian club Napoli for the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire, pulled up for service.

Osimhen could be seen approaching the pulpit in the widely shared footage on the internet as the congregation cheered and clapped.
The striker for Napoli, Osimhen, was spotted attending the Redeemed Christian Church of God Parish in Lagos on viral video.
The pastor gave the microphone to an ecstatic Osimhen after the former Lille striker hugged him.
Earlier American artist Justine Skye and Afrobeats music icon Rema were also captured at a church crossover ceremony in Lagos.

This came after Afrobeats legend Davido was spotted attending the crossover service at Harvesters Church in Lagos with a few buddies.

Osimhen to feature for Super Eagles at AFCON
As a result, his club has let him go as Nigeria starts its last preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off on January 13.

Super Eagles to prepare for AFCON in Abu Dhabi
On Tuesday, January 2, all 25 players will fly into Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, for a one-week training camp that will run until Tuesday, January 9.
On Tuesday, January 9, the team will return to Lagos by air, and on Wednesday, January 10, they will arrive in the Ivorian capital, Abidjan.
In their pursuit of a fourth continental championship, the Super Eagles will play their opening Group A encounter on Sunday, January 14, against Equatorial Guinea.
They will then play their remaining matches against the host nation, Cote d'Ivoire, on January 18, and Guinea-Bissau on January 22.
