Marcus Rashford is expected to be fit enough to play a part in Tuesday’s Champions League match against Chelsea after recovering from a bout of flu.

Rashford was sidelined for Barcelona's 4–0 win over Athletic Club in La Liga at the weekend, the first time he's missed a game this season.

The 28-year-old has started 12 of the previous 13 matches in La Liga and the Champions League, having firmly forced his way into Hansi Flick’s strongest lineup.

After missing two training sessions, Rashford reported for practice on Sunday at the same time as the rest of his teammates, according to Spanish outlet SPORT.

Flick must then decide whether to use his star winger as a substitute or throw him in right from the start.

Rashford has been in excellent form for the Spanish champions this season, contributing 14 goals and assists in 16 games.

Meanwhile, Pedri remains absent for this one as he continues to recover from a hamstring problem.

The influential midfielder hasn’t featured since the Clásico defeat against Real Madrid on October 26. However, Frenkie de Jong will be restored to the lineup after missing the weekend's game through suspension.
