Traitor! Mason Mount comes under fire from angry Chelsea fans over Man United move
After weeks of negotiations, Manchester United finally got a deal accepted by Chelsea for Mason Mount.

Mount appeared to be Erik ten Hag's priority target this summer as the United boss looks to instill some much-needed creativity into his side's midfield, taking some of the burden off Bruno Fernandes.
Mason Mount had turned down several contract offers, perhaps feeling a lack of appreciation from the club or, at least, wanting a proposal that reflected his current standing.
As it became clear he would not be extending his Chelsea stay, United swooped in and that has not gone down well with the fans.
Mount faces backlash from Chelsea fans
Some Chelsea fans have accused Mount of only leaving for money and having no loyalty to his boyhood club who invested in him since he was 6 years old.
Here are some of the posts from disappointed fans on Twitter
I beg you Mason Mount, don’t even bother with a goodbye message. Not a single thing you can say to make this redeemable

☑️We were told Mason Mount didn’t want to sign a long-term deal, but he signed a deal for 5+1, a 6 year contract.

☑️We were told he wasn’t seeking £200k-£300k a week, Mount just accepted a deal for £250k and up to £300k with add-ons.
He didn’t want to be here. Point blank.
Not a Chelsea man. Not worth shedding tears over.

Had the opportunity to be a Chelsea legend and chose the wrong path.
We’ll be better off for having players at the club who actually want to be here. pic.twitter.com/GcNqoklzX3
Wouldn’t have seen either of these lads sign for Arsenal or Man U.

Seen a few wishing Mount and Havertz all the best. I couldn’t agree less. They signed for big rivals and I will be hoping both fail miserably.

Despite how disappointing this is for Chelsea fans, it was clear Mount prioritised the best deal for himself in the same manner the Blues hierarchy believed they made the best financial choice.
Time will tell if their decision to let the 24-year-old leave will be vindicated.
