Tottenham join Manchester United and Arsenal in Ansu Fati’s race

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen to sign Ansu Fati from Barcelona in the summer.

In a bid to strengthen the attacking department, Spurs have put the out-of-favour Barcelona forward on their transfer wishlist.

Fati, 20, has also been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich, however, the youngster is reportedly keen to stay at Camp Nou.

Since Lionel Messi left the club, the once promising youngster was handed the legendary number 10, but he has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under Xavi.

He has fallen out of favour partly because of nagging injury issues and a rocky form.

With Spurs’ attacking department being blunt this season, the London club is said to have highlighted the Spaniard as a potential signing.

Although Barcelona are willing to sell Fati - due to their need to raise £178 million in order to sign new players –  Fati, who could attract bids of up to £90 million, is reluctant and wants to stay and prove himself at the Catalan club.

Recently, his father, Bori – in an interview with the Spanish radio station Cope – said he is of the opinion that his son leaves Barcelona, but the forward does not agree with his suggestion.

"At Barca, they tell me that they have bet a lot on Ansu, they tell me that clearly," Bori said.

"When I sat down with Jorge Mendes [Fatis’ agent], the first thing he told me was that Ansu wants to stay and will continue playing for Barcelona.

"But I, as a father, thought otherwise, and Ansu doesn't agree with that."
