The hurdling queen clocked a brilliant 12.57 seconds to dominate the race—just three hundredths shy of her championship record of 12.54s set in 2022.

By securing her fifth national title (2021-2025), Amusan joined an elite club of Nigerian women who have ruled their events for at least five straight years.

These rare company of Nigeria's legendary athletes are: Mary Onyali (1991-1996), Felicia Nkiru Ojiego (1993-1997), Sorochukwu Ihuefo (dominated for at least nine straight victories starting in 1998), Funke Adeoye (nearly a decade in the early 2000s), and Vivian Chukwuemeka (1999 to 2005).
