Victor Osimhen is set for another busy summer transfer window as his loan spell at Galatasaray is coming to an end. According to an alleged club official, he has seven to eight suitors vying for his signature, including Saudi big spenders.

Al Hilal's interest in Osimhen

Interest from the Saudi Pro League was strong last summer, with the Nigerian presented with a mouthwatering offer. However, Osimhen turned it down to keep playing European football.

In the past few days, the reports of an offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal regained ground, with sources alleging that the Nigerian was amenable to the offer.

Osimhen has a €75 million release clause and is said to be demanding €12 million net in wages. The financial requirements of the deal have put off Premier League clubs; Osimhen reportedly rejected Juventus; and Galatasaray are said to be unable to make up the funds. Hence, Osimhen was reported to be seriously considering the offer from Saudi, but that has now been debunked by an insider.

Nigeria broadcaster Buchy Laba has a personal relationship with the striker and has previously reported inside scoops concerning the former Napoli man.

Via his X platform, Laba confirmed the interest from the Gulf. However, he refuted the claims that Osimhen was keen on the move.

“Why’s there noise about this news? I don’t get it,” he tweeted. “The Saudi consortium has always been interested in Victor Osimhen even before his loan to Galatasaray, and they offered more money in wages Last year before Napoli got greedy & asked for more. He’s not keen on any move. Very false.”
