Will Osimhen get a medal for Napoli’s 2024/25 Serie A title?
Napoli clinched the Serie A title for the fourth time in their history in an exciting climax to the 2024/25 Serie A season with a 2-0 win over Cagliari, barely holding off Inter Milan by a single point.
However, many have questioned whether or not the Partenopei will be extending a medal to Nigerian Superstar Victor Osimhen
Conte leads Napoli to glory
After triumphs with Juventus and Inter, the Italian tactician has now added Napoli to his successful clubs, winning the title in his very first season at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Claiming the Serie A title was not a joyride for Napoli, whose campaign started in chaos. Their top scorer and poster boy from the previous title, Victor Osimhen, was loaned out to Galatasaray after a falling out with the club’s hierarchy.

Then, midseason, the creative wizard Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was sold to Paris Saint-Germain without adequate replacement, robbing Napoli of their two most feared attackers. Yet, somehow, they still made it work.
Scott McTominay emerged as the unlikely hero, putting in a series of colossal performances in the middle of the park, even scoring in the title-deciding win against Cagliari and winning the Serie A MVP award.
Will Osimhen get Serie A title?
Osimhen has been sensational during his loan spell at Galatasaray, scoring 36 goals in all competitions, helping them to win the Super Lig and Turkish Cup while on loan.
Given that Osimhen is still on loan from Napoli to Galatasaray, many have wondered if the Nigerian star will be receiving a winners' medal for the Partenopei’s league success.
The answer to this question would be no, since Osimhen was an unregistered member of the Napoli squad even before he left for the loan spell in Turkey. As a result, the Super Eagles star would not be considered a part of the Napoli side that was crowned champions of Italy in the 2024/25 season.
Kvaratskhelia, however, will be getting a medal, having played half the season with Napoli and the rest with PSG.
The Georgian forward played 17 times for Napoli this season, scoring five goals and providing three assists before heading to France with PSG, where he has also won the Ligue 1 title and is on course to win the Champions League as well, with the final against Inter on the horizon.
