Mandonga was brutally knocked out in Mwanza on July 29, as Golola connected his devastating punch to Mandonga's head, sending him to instant sleep in the third round.

The Tanzanian claimed he keenly observed Golola's "strange antics" starting from the weigh-in and did understand the veteran boxer's fighting style.

He confessed that he became convinced that he was battling dark forces during the match and also discovered objects used in shrines in Golola's 'personal effects'.

“My opponent had objects that looked like items which witches normally use," Kenyans reported.

"So losing that fight is just normal, but I can say I fought against dark forces, and how I went down on the canvas, I can’t tell.”

According to reports, Mandonga is a celebrity boxer and has held two fights in a week, ending in knockout losses.

Before the Golola fight, Mandonga suffered a knockout against Kenya's Daniel Wanyonyi. A week later, he hosted Golola, who showcased superior skills in the ring and also delivered a knockout.

The Tanzanian has ten fights to his name and registered six wins and four losses.
