The match was the final pre-season fixture ahead of the new 2025-26 Ligue 1 season.

Simon continues his integration into his new team following a €7 million transfer from Nantes to Paris FC at the start of the season.
Simon was celebrated by his former Nantes teammates ahead of the game.
The Nigerian forward proved to be the catalyst for Paris FC's triumph.
In the 14th minute, Jean-Philippe Krasso gave Paris FC the lead, assisted by Moses Simon.
However, Nantes fought back as Mostafa Mohamed equalized in the 20th minute, leveling the score at 1-1.
Nigeria's Chidozie Awaziem, returning to Nantes this summer, received a yellow card for the home side.
Mohamed scored his second of the game to give Nantes a 2-1 lead at the halftime break.
At halftime, Moses Simon was replaced by Alimami Gory that would dictate the rest of the game.
In the 49th minute, Gory equalized for Paris FC, capitalizing to restore parity at 2-2.
Five minutes later, in the 54th minute, Ilan Kebbal scored the third for Paris FC with a clinical finish.
Paris FC would hold onto for a 3-2 win to wrap up their pre-season fixtures.
