South Africa’s Casey Jarvis Pockets Ksh59 Million After Magical Kenya Open Victory
South Africa's Casey Jarvis claimed his first DP World Tour victory in spectacular fashion, winning the Magical Kenya Open by three shots after a dramatic final day at Karen Golf Club.
The 22-year-old overcame two separate weather delays due to lightning on Sunday, returning to the course to deliver a stunning birdie-eagle finish. This capped off a remarkable 8-under 62, setting a new tournament record with a final score of 25-under par.
When play resumed after a nearly two-hour suspension, Jarvis held a narrow one-shot lead over his playing partner, Davis Bryant of the United States. He quickly doubled his advantage by sinking a 15-foot birdie putt on the par-4 17th hole.
Holding a two-shot lead on the par-5 18th, Jarvis found the fairway, hit his approach shot to 12 feet, and confidently rolled in the eagle putt to the delight of the supportive African crowd.

Bryant finished in second place, three strokes behind, securing his best-ever result on the DP World Tour. Hennie du Plessis, another South African, nearly made an albatross on the final hole but settled for an eagle to finish in solo third at 21-under par.
An emotional Jarvis immediately credited his father, who also serves as his coach. It was the first time he had won a professional tournament with his dad present.
"I've never won in front of my dad before, so I wanted to do it so badly," Jarvis said. "I can't explain the emotions down the last two holes, so it feels great."
He added, "There aren't many words that can describe this feeling. My dad has been with me through the ups and the downs, and I know this moment doesn't happen often, so we will celebrate tonight properly."
How Much Will the South African Pocket?
This victory marks Jarvis's first on the DP World Tour, following previous wins on the Sunshine Tour and the Challenge Tour. The win propels him to fourth in both the Race to Dubai and the International Swing standings.
Jarvis is the second South African to win on the 2026 DP World Tour season, following Jayden Schaper's back-to-back victories late last year.
His triumph is the 179th by a South African player in the tour's history. For his efforts, Jarvis earned a winner's check of $459,000 (Ksh59 million) and will now head to his home event, the South African Open, as a newly crowned DP World Tour champion.
