Shabana FC’s match against Posta Rangers failed to kick off due to security concerns at the Gusii Stadium on Saturday.

Unconfirmed reports claim the referees felt intimidated before kickoff and having assessed the security situation, they opted against officiating it.
It left the match hanging in the balance as concerned parties tried to solve the situation with the hope of finding a solution. However, the referees stood firm, leading to the cancellation of the match.
It is yet another ugly incident involving Shabana in a week after their fans engaged in acts of hooliganism after their match against Ulinzi Stars last Sunday.
After the match at Ulinzi Complex, Shabana supporters, who were protesting what they claimed poor officiating, vandalized chairs at the match venue while some physically assaulted security officers.
They incident saw the club sanctioned by Football Kenya Federation, who ordered them to play their next home matches behind closed door, but the club appealed the decision with the Sports Disputes Tribunal suspending the ban on Friday.
It gave Shabana a temporary reprieve which allowed fans to fill Gusii Stadium before the match ran into headwinds.
