Osimhen names Napoli teammate who could win Ballon d'Or
Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has spoken highly of Napoli teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who helped him find his best form at Napoli.
Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia have formed one of the best partnerships in Serie A this season and have combined for 33 goals and 19 assists in all competitions in 2022/23.
Osimhen and Kvarastskhelia, Serie A’s most deadly duo
Osimhen has been a huge beneficiary of the Georgian winger’s quality, as he has received assists from Kvaratskhelia six times, making theirs the most potent partnership in Serie A this season.
After being named the best foreign athlete in Italy, Osimhen praised Kvaratskhelia and predicted great things for his teammate's future.
“He’s a great guy, I understood that immediately,” Osimhen said before adding, “Everyone loves him in the dressing room, not only for what he does on the pitch but also for what he does off it.
“I believe he can win the Ballon d’Or in the next few years, and I hope he also brings many successes to Napoli.”

Kvaratskhelia has been a revelation with Napoli, joining I Partenopei for €11.5 million in the summer of 2022 from Dinamo Batumi and setting the Italian top division alight with amazing performances.
The 22-year-old winger has scored 12 goals and assisted 15 more in only 27 appearances in all competitions for Napoli, and his performances have earned him the name Kvaradona, after Napoli’s most distinguished club icon, Diego Maradona.

Together with Osimhen, the Georgian forward is powering Napoli to a possible first title since 1990 and is on his way to becoming a club favourite.
If he continues on his current trajectory, Kvaratskhelia may very well prove Osimhen right and win the top individual award in Europe, and he may end up contending for the award with his Nigerian strike partner.
