In a bid to reclaim their Serie A title after a Victor Osimhen-inspired Napoli dethroned them, the Rossoneri signed Osimhen’s good friend Chukwueze.
Milan confirmed this through a post on his social media and an official statement on their website that the Nigeria international has joined from Villarreal.
"AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Samuel Chimerenka Chukwueze from Villarreal CF," the club stated in a statement.
Chukwueze has since penned a five-year contract with the Serie A giants and started training with his new teammates.

With the transfer to Milan done and dusted, the 24-year-old has now revealed how he will celebrate when he gets off the mark for the club.
The forward revealed and explained his celebrations next season in a video shared by Milan on their social media platforms.

Osimhen’s role in Milan's move
Meanwhile, Chukwueze has also provided more insights into his move to Italy.
According to the talented winger, his friend and Napoli star, Osimhen, played a decisive role in getting him to agree to swap Spain’s LALIGA for the Serie A.
Speaking during his interview with Milan’s media and reported by Pulse Sports, he explained why he decided to sign for the Rossoneri despite having other suitors.
“Samuel, Milan is the best club, don’t hesitate to sign for them,” Chukwueze revealed Osimhen said to him. “They are fantastic, the fans are amazing, they are crazy about football.”
“He was a major role also in making me sign for AC Milan, as he said I should come to Italy,” he added.
