Exciting talents from Kenya continue to flock top European Leagues in a bid to hone their skill and realise their life-long ambitions.

While the trend is on an upward trajectory, Kenyan forward Job Ochieng has inked a two-year contract with Spanish side Real Sociedad B, as he continues his steady rise with hopes of breaking into the senior team according to Mozzart Sports.

Ochieng joined Real Sociedad C team in 2022. The 22-year-old was promoted to Sociedad B a year later and has now spent two seasons impressing at that level.

It is reported that his former club, Ligi Ndogo, has received a development fee slightly exceeding Ksh20 million—a notable windfall for the Ngong Road-based academy.

"The figure is slightly over 20 million. Ligi Ndogo invested in him for many years, and this is a well-deserved reward. Ochieng is incredibly talented, but above all, he has the character and hunger to succeed.

"It’s only a matter of time before he breaks into the first team.”

After departing Ligi Ndogo for Spain in 2019, Ochieng joined the youth academy of Maspalomas, where he spent three seasons honing his skills. He later trialled with Las Palmas but did not secure a spot.

Ochieng is a dynamic forward capable of playing both as a striker and a winger. With this latest development, Ochieng is expected to break into the first team as soon as possible.
