Remo Stars players fatigued ahead of Gombe trip- Ogunmodede
Remo Stars manager Daniel Ogunmodede has revealed that his team are experiencing fatigue ahead of the NPFL game week 2 clash against Gombe United.
The Ikenne-based club started their 2023 NPFL campaign on a high on Sunday, defeating El-Kanemi Warriors 2-0 with goals from Samuel Anakwe and Ezekiel Edidiong coming in either half.
It is also the second time since their promotion in 2021 that Remo Stars won their opening match of the season with a similar scoreline.

Remo Stars players unfit for Gombe trip
Speaking ahead of his side's midweek game at Gombe, Ogunmodede revealed that his side was experiencing some level of fatigue, although adding that it was expected.
"In the game [against El-Kanemi], its obvious that some of them [Remo Stars players] are a little bit fatigued," the 42-year-old said in his post-match interview, "pressure and anxiety can bring fatigue, and it's expected."
"We're going manage the situation, hopefully by tomorrow [Monday] when they have their recovery."
Remo boss glad with NPFL return
Reacting to Sunday's victory, the manager stated that his team were glad that the new season had resumed after an extended wait.
"I'm very delighted because it was a tense match for us," Ogunmodede said. "It's the first match of the season after a very long time, the boys are over-excited, they want to impress, and so overzealous."
"Most important in the league is getting the needed 3 points," he concluded.
Remo Stars currently sit second in Group A of the 2023 season, and second behind Bendel Insurance.
