Real Madrid turn to Manchester United legend David De Gea after Courtois' blow
Real Madrid and David De Gea could finally be united after the LALIGA side contacted the former Manchester United star following an injury to goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Los Blancos are expected to be without their first-choice goalkeeper Courtois for a while after he suffered a terrible injury in training.
As reported by Pulse Sports, the Belgian shot-stopper will miss most of the season after he damaged his anterior cruciate ligament.
Courtois to go under the knife
According to the report by your number one sports platform, Real will be without the 31-year-old who is set for surgery following a bad injury.
Courtois broke his cruciate ligament on the left knee and will go under the knife in the coming days.
The injury happened during one of their final preseason practices with his Real Madrid teammates when he horribly injured his left knee.
The former Chelsea goalkeeper was "in tears" as he was taken off the field, per Pulse Sports via Cadena Cope.
Real turn to De Gea
With Courtois set to miss major parts of the new season, the LALIGA side has turned attention to possible replacements.
Former Manchester United goalkeeper and free agent, De Gea, has emerged as the likely replacement for the injured Belgian at the Santiago Bernabeu per a report from Sky Sports.
De Gea, who is 32, is available on a free transfer after ending his 12-year romance with English club United this summer.
With 545 appearances, Los Blancos will be getting in the Spaniard a goalkeeper who left with the most appearances in United’s history.
De Gea also won five major titles with the Red Devils, including the Premier League in 2013 and two golden gloves.
