The Professional Golfers of Kenya (PGK) Equator Tour wrapped up its season at the Royal Nairobi Golf Club, bringing an intense and highly competitive campaign to a close.

The Royal Nairobi finale provided a fitting climax, with fans treated to high-quality golf and close contests that showcased the depth of talent in the country.

The Corporate Shield competition concluded with Safaricom topping the standings on 8,555 points, followed by Kenya Airways (6,280), Johnnie Walker (6,025), NCBA (5,680), Visa Team (5,435), and Britam (1,855).

“Finishing at the top of the corporate standings reflects the dedication and hard work of everyone on the team,” said Samuel Njoroge.

“The competition throughout the series demanded focus, discipline, and consistency. The tour has pushed all of us to raise our skills, and it feels amazing to see that effort pay off.”

Greg Snow Clinches Overall Tour Title

Greg Snow emerged as the overall winner of the Equator Tour with 4,450 points, thanks to steady and consistent performances.

Samuel Njoroge finished second with 3,680 points, while Mutahi Kibugu secured sixth place, boosted by his runner-up finish at the finale. Mohit Mediratta ended 11th, and Matthew Wahome narrowly missed the cut with 160 points.

The final standings reflect a season of resilience, discipline, and sustained excellence across the field, and they set the stage for the next major challenge for Kenya’s golfers.

“The final round was intense, and every match throughout the season required focus, discipline, and teamwork,” said Njoroge.

“This tour has helped us improve individually and collectively, and it’s rewarding to see our hard work reflected in the results.”
