The Ballon d'Or nominees list is 30-man strong and headlined by World Cup winner Lionel Messi, whose performances for Argentina in Qatar may give him an edge.
Other Africans on the list include Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, Manchester United's Andre Onana, and Yassine Bounou of Morocco.
The event will be held in Paris on October 30.
