Onana vs Ten Hag: Man United boss set for showdown talks with goalkeeper over Cameroon return
Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana came out of retirement to lead Cameroon against Burundi in an African Cup of Nations qualifier.
The 27-year-old shot-stopper retired last December during the World Cup in Qatar after a disagreement with Cameroon coach Rigobert Song.
Onana set for talks with Ten Hag
However, after talks with Song and pressure from the Cameroon Government, Onana agreed to return to the team for their crucial qualifier against Burundi.
With Cameroon's place at the January tournament confirmed, Onana could miss several Man United games if he continues to represent his country, a situation Ten Hag did not anticipate.
According to the Mirror, the United boss will seek clarity from his goalkeeper as soon as possible to avoid a situation that throws the club's plans into disarray.
