Not only Super Eagles, Cameroon in crisis ahead of CAF WCQ against DR Congo
The so-called favourites for the CAF World Cup playoffs place, Nigeria and Cameroon, are both battling off-field issues which could jeopardise their performance levels in the coming games.
The Super Eagles players are currently on a boycott. They have refused to train in protest of unpaid bonuses. The NFF have a big problem on their hands, but FECAFOOT’s headache might be greater, as the Indomitable Lions head coach, Marc Brys, is said to have mentally checked out of the playoffs.

What is going on with Cameroon?
In the wake of the ongoing standoff in the Super Eagles camp, which threatens to derail Nigeria’s chances in the playoff semi-final clash against Gabon, ESPN has reported a similar crisis unfolding in the Cameroonian camp.
The chaos in the Samuel Eto'o-led FECAFOOT is well documented. Those problems have spilt over into their playoff preparation, as Cameroon released their squad for the playoffs only yesterday, four days before the semi-final clash against DR Congo.
The delay is due to an ongoing disagreement between head coach Brys and the Federation's leadership. According to the reports, the Belgian tactician does not believe in Cameroon’s chances of advancing in the playoffs and is already planning his life away from the Indomitable Lions.
Cameroon will be at the AFCON next month; it remains to be seen whether Brys will hang around long enough for the competition.
