A lot went into their wedding preparation, with the reigning Olympic 100m champion also being forced to get into planning the event.

Speaking to Vogue, Junelle Bromfield described the planning process with their planner, Rebecca Lang of L3 Events, as "very easy," noting, "Usually all I do is confirm ideas and might give my input here and there."

"I found myself being more of the planner than I thought," Noah Lyles admitted. "I see myself as somewhat of an artistic director."

The wedding planning was not a walk in the park, as Noah Lyles highlighted the challenges of merging American and Jamaican wedding traditions, a nod to Junelle Bromfield's heritage, and the surprising costs of smaller budget items.

"I’d say thank the lord for Rebecca," Noah Lyles said, expressing gratitude for the support they received. "We’ve received tremendous amounts of favours from different companies and people that are all extremely skilled... We’re just very blessed."

The wedding theme, "All Shades of Melanin," was beautifully reflected in the fashion choices. Junelle Bromfield walked down the aisle in a "clean, regal look," wearing a ball gown by Pantora Bridal with jewelled details and an asymmetrical strap.

"The owner is Jamaican, and I wanted to support another Black woman from my community," she explained. For the reception, she changed into a lace mini-dress with a tulle train. Her bridesmaids wore custom sparkling dresses from the same designer, each in a different shade of brown.

The groom donned a deep chocolate suit from his longtime collaborator, Musika. "I just knew that I would be in good hands," Lyles said.

The groomsmen also wore Musika suits, each in a unique shade of brown to match the theme. In a personal touch, Lyles had each suit lined with the wearer's favourite anime character.

"I wanted it to be personalised enough for them to want to use this at another date," he noted, adding that he also gifted each groomsman an Omega watch.

Not to be outdone by his bride's two outfits, Noah Lyles also planned a second look for the reception. "There’s no way that I’m going to be outclassed and outfashioned. I got to keep up," he thought.

His reception ensemble was inspired by a suit he had previously worn to a Met Gala after-party. "I loved it so much that I told them I need another one," he said.

On the big day, despite having a "first look" before the ceremony, the excitement was palpable as the couple prepared to walk down the aisle.

"I heard I didn’t walk down the aisle. I heard that I ran," Junelle Bromfield laughed. Reflecting on the event, she described it as a beautiful fusion of their backgrounds. "It was definitely a ceremony of unity," the bride remarked. "It was just amazing to see the different cultures mesh into one."

The ceremony was particularly moving. "I already knew I was gonna cry, I just didn’t know when," Noah Lyles reflected. The moment came as his bride began her vows. "When Junelle read the title of her vows, 'The Husband Sent by God,' I was like, ‘Oh, yep, this is the part. This is when I cry.’"

"Her hands shook so much that she couldn’t hold the vow book, so I ended up holding it for her," Noah Lyles explained. "But I was also crying, so I couldn’t wipe away my own tears. It was a super magical moment."

Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield Wedding: A Reception to Remember

Following the heartfelt ceremony, the reception kicked off with a speech from the groom and a special performance by gospel singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard. The celebration then transitioned into a lively dance party that lasted all night.

"I think the only time that my heart raced was when we had to do our first dance," Noah Lyles admitted, noting the size of Junelle's dress made their practised routine a challenge. The couple, along with their wedding party, performed several choreographed dances. When asked how they remembered all the steps, the bride simply replied, "We can dance."

The dance floor remained packed until the very end, with guests from all backgrounds joining in. "Usually, when it’s late, and the music starts at the wedding, the older people leave. They all stayed the whole night," Junelle Bromfield said.

"No matter what music was playing, both Americans and Jamaicans were on the dance floor, and they were just having a blast."

Despite a forecast of rain all week, the weather held off for the entire event. As the night concluded, guests gathered outside for a spectacular fireworks display. Just as the final firework burst, the rain began to fall. "I think that was magical," the bride said.

Junelle Bromfield’s preparations included a robe adorned with butterflies to symbolise new beginnings. Her Hollywood-wave hairstyle was chosen to create a "clean, older Hollywood look."

A touching moment came when she read a surprise letter from Noah Lyles, which was accompanied by a rare "Lovebird's Pokémon card," representing their deep emotional bond.

Noah Lyles and his groomsmen, dressed in stylish shades of brown, chanted "Oba" with deep "woos" as if preparing for battle.

The stage was beautifully set with flowers by Akeem Clayton Designs, and a special spot was reserved for loved ones who could not be present.

In a deeply personal touch, the wedding planner surprised Junelle Bromfield by attaching a photo of her late mother, who passed away in 2021, to her bouquet.
