Nigeria vs South Africa: Super Falcons arrive Pretoria to face Banyana Banyana
The Super Falcons of Nigeria have traveled to Pretoria in front of their matchup with South Africa's Bayana Bayana in the last Olympic qualification round for Paris 2024.
Oluchi Tobechukwu, the team's media officer, reports that the players arrived at Johannesburg's Tambo International Airport this morning and will train this evening in preparation for Tuesday's match.
Tobechukwu stated on her Facebook page that the players had calmed down and were looking forward to the match.
She said, “We have arrived Pretoria and have settled down in our residence the Maslow time square.
"We will observe our official training later tonight”, she wrote.
Super Falcons vs Banyana Banyana
Nigeria, who has missed out on the Olympic ticket for Paris 2024 in the last three editions, has to win or draw.
The opening leg of the match was won by the Falcons on Friday at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja by a single goal.
A slot at the Olympics is automatically reserved for the tiebreaker.
The game will begin at 7.30 p.m. South African time (6.30 p.m. Nigerian time).
