Ndidi set to make return from injury
Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is reportedly set to make his return from a long injury layoff in Saturday’s Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Super Eagles midfielder has been sidelined for the past two weeks after sustaining an injury in training, missing the Foxes' last three games across all competitions.
It appears the wait is over as reports indicate the 26-year-old is set to make his return earlier than previously expected.
Ndidi returns from injury
According to Leicester Mercury, Ndidi is ready for action again having participated in recent training sessions with the rest of the team.
Despite his fitness issues, the Nigerian has featured in 14 Premier League games for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season.
The report also claims that Ndidi could have featured in Leicester City’s 4-2 victory against Aston Villa last weekend but for a private affair which kept him out rather than fitness.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers was quoted by the club's official website as saying: "He’s back in training and hopefully should be fine for the weekend."
Rodgers' gave the update on Ndidi's fitness in a pre-match press conference ahead of the crucial Premier League game against Tottenham.
Leicester City head into the game against Tottenham Hotspur sitting 14th in the table with 21 points from 21 games played as they look to avoid relegation.
