Mounir Nasraoui: Lamine Yamal’s father finally breaks silence after being st*bb*d by familiar foes

Mounir Nasraoui, the father of Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, was thrust into the spotlight under tragic circumstances on Wednesday night. 

Pulse Sports earlier reported Nasraoui, 35, was the victim of a brutal stabbing in Mataro, a town north of Barcelona, where he resides. 

The incident occurred in a parking lot after an altercation with familiar faces escalated into violence.

Nasraoui, who had been walking his dog at the time, sustained multiple stab wounds and was immediately rushed to the hospital. 

Thankfully, he remains in stable condition, offering a glimmer of relief amidst the chaos.

The attack on Nasraoui has sent shockwaves through the community, not only because of its violent nature but also due to the familiarity of the assailants. 

Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia reported three individuals have been apprehended by the Spanish police, with a fourth suspect recently detained.

 The connection between Nasraoui and his attackers reportedly stretches back years prior to the recent stabbing.

In the wake of this harrowing experience, Mounir Nasraoui took to social media to share an update on his condition, reassuring concerned followers and friends.

 "Thank you all for your encouragement, I'm better now," he posted on his Instagram stories, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support. 

A source close to the family told AFP that Nasraoui is now "out of danger" and "remains under observation" but in a "stable" condition.

When asked about the events and Nasraoui’s possible release date from hospital, the source reportedly did not provide further details.

Yamal was also pictured leaving the hospital in a car after visiting his father.

The unfortunate incident has also drawn attention to the Rocafonda neighborhood of Mataro, where Nasraoui and his son, Lamine Yamal, were said to have begun life together. 

The 17-year-old Barcelona star honours his origins with his "304" celebration, a nod to the area's postcode.
