The Super Eagles currently trail Group C leaders Benin by three points, and must secure a victory by at least two goals at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo to retain any hope of qualifying.

Despite the team's challenges, including a plane being delayed by a windscreen crack on the journey to Uyo, Chelle assured fans his focus remains absolute.

“For me, as a coach, it’s maybe the most important game of my career,” Chelle said during Monday’s pre-match press conference.
