In a thrilling North African showdown at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia, the Morocco U20 national football team secured a commanding 3-1 victory over rivals Tunisia in the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations on May 7, 2025.

The result propelled Morocco to the top of Group B with seven points, ensuring their advancement to the knockout stages.

This win capped an impressive group stage for Morocco, who finished atop Group B with seven points.

Their campaign began with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Kenya followed by a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Nigeria.

Tunisia, despite their late consolation goal, finished the group stage with three points, sitting in third place behind Nigeria, who had five points, while Kenya ended at the bottom with one.
