Mohammed Bajaber Reveals When He Will Be Available for Harambee Stars After Injury Setback
Harambee Stars forward Mohammed Bajaber has opened up on the healing process of his injury that has kept him out of action this month.
Bajaber sustained a right thigh injury while on international assignment, when he pulled up while in Harambee Stars training, ahead of their friendly matches with Chad early this month.
The injury has forced him to miss Kenya Police’s final two matches of the season against Shabana and Gor Mahia as the law enforcers won their maiden FKF Premier League title.

That has left fans worried that one of the key players could be absent from the 2024 African Nations Championships (CHAN 2024), which Kenya will co-host with Uganda and Tanzania from the August 2, but the forward has allayed any fears.
“According to my rehab plan, I should be ready before then [CHAN 2024] and we will see if I do get called up so just pray to God and hope for the best,” Bajaber told the media as per SPM Sports.
Bajaber Salutes Kenya Police Veterans After Title Triumph
Bajaber is one of the quality players Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy will be hoping to rely on for the tournament as he plans to navigate his way out of a tricky Group A that has Morocco, DR Congo, Angola and Zambia.
The 22-year-old, who can play on either wing and behind the striker, was crucial to Police’s title triumph with five goals and a number of key assists since signing in the midseason transfer window from now relegated Nairobi City Stars.
He credits some of the experienced players in the squad, such as captain David ‘Cheche’ Ochieng, Aboud Omar, Jesse Were and Francis Kahata for making him settle and also taking football seriously and not just as a passion.
“They have made me more aware that football is a job, they have so much experience, they treat football as a job, as a profession and their experience helped us win the league. Not just Kahata, all the experienced players are a really big part of the team and dressing room,” added Bajaber.
Bajaber is also relishing an opportunity to play in the CAF Champions League for the first time next season.
