Atletico star Memphis Depay congratulates Davido on launch of PUMA collection

Puma has today, launched their highly-anticipated collaboration with Nigerian music superstar Davido.

The ‘We Rise By Lifting Others’ collection release date was officially announced last week, leaving many fans eager and beaming with excitement.

Prior to the announcement, Puma and Davido had been teasing the brand-new collection via a series of posts on social media following the latter’s return to the limelight.

Davido took to his Instagram page today to officially announce the collection is now available for purchase worldwide with a post that read: ‘It’s with a huge sigh of relief that I can finally say the words “MY NEW LINE WITH @puma IS OFFICIALLY OUT NOW”!

For all of you who have been rockin’ with me you know how much this means to me. How much it means to us. I hope you enjoy the clothes and I can’t wait to see you all showin’ out in the new drip.’

Atletico Madrid superstar Memphis Depay has now sent his congratulations to Davido via social media.

Depay who is a Netherlands international of Ghanaian descent took to his Instagram story on Friday, April 7, to felicitate with his fellow Puma ambassador.

He wrote: “My bro @Davido, congratulations on this! PUMA I need this ASAP!!!’

This would not be the first time Depay shows love to the Nigerian singer.

Sometime last year, Depay gifted Davido a Barcelona jersey when he was a player for the Catalan club, after the duo linked up in the US.

Davido, who recently released his fourth studio album ‘Timeless’ is currently promoting the 17-track project that has broken a number of projects since its release on March 24.

Pulse Sports previously reported that Davido and Puma began their ambassadorial relationship sometime around December 2021, appearing in different ads and their flagship store in Nigeria.

He also appeared on the Puma runway during New York Fashion week.

 The official launch was initially slated for late last year, but was eventually postponed till 2023.

The collection features urban, athletic outfits and shoes in green, black, and white with yellow highlights.
