Manchester United's £80m flop attracting interest from Serie A

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire was left out of the FA Cup semi-final triumph against Brighton on Sunday after his shambolic performance against Sevilla in midweek. 

Maguire has fallen down the pecking order since Lisandro Martinez arrived from Ajax in the summer and now looks to be below Victor Lindelof, with United boss Erik ten Hag ruthless in his decision-making.

Pulse Sports recently reported that the England international was one of a number of players set to be axed by the club in the summer and according to 90min, clubs in Italy's Serie A are taking a keen interest in acquiring his services.

The report states that Juventus, Milan, and Inter are all interested in potential loan deals with options to buy as Ten Hag looks to offload the underperforming defender at the end of the season.

In the event that Maguire leaves Old Trafford, it is believed that the defenders' advisers are very open to a move to Italy with the pace of the league probably a better fit for the 30-year-old.
